| Narrow Path Music Ministries began to expand the horizons of their ministry in 2005. At that time, LaDonna was an Activity Director in their local nursing home and Richard would often volunteer for her when she needed his help with various activities for the Residents. They also loved singing there for the Residents. One Resident said, "I feel as if I've been to a concert and haven't even left the building." We noticed how the Residents stayed focused and listened intently as we sang, even the memory impaired residents. They told us how much they enjoyed the music and asked when we would sing again. In 2006 with much prayer and the direction of the Holy Spirit, they went into a full time traveling ministry. They started singing and traveling locally in various churches and nursing home facilities, and then started to branch out farther and farther. In 2007, the group sang in over 200 nursing home facilities and various churches in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, and Texas. We truly have a passion to bring joy and smiles to the Residents we minister to. During our performances, Richard often tells the Residents funny stories that has happened to us during some of our performances. One unique feature of our group is that at the end of each performance, we draw names of all the Residents that were in attendance at the concert, and give away our CD's or other items donated by local flower and gift shops. When we draw a Resident's name, they just "light up" and are so excited. This is the joy that we receive from our Ministry. We also take pictures (with permission) of the residents smiling or receiving their gifts to put on our website under "Home of the Day". Some Activity Directors have even helped the Residents view their facility pictures the next day for another activity. When we put new pictures of another home on our site, the other facilities are put on a "Previous Homes" page. We encourage everyone who visits our website to visit these pages and see the smiles that we see when we are there. Our prayer is that each person we minister to will be touched by the music that God gives us. We are not seeking any praise or recognition, this all belongs to "Him". If you would like for Narrow Path to visit your local church or nursing home facility, please contact us. This information can be found on the "Contact Info" page. God bless you all! Narrow Path |
